loudmouth install

I have a 1994 z28 with 1997 mac dual cat headers. The loudmouth will bolt right up without the install kit right? Besides the hangers in the kit. Thanks guys

I know I can put 2 and 2 together but I see the install kit for 95-97 only consists of hangers and the 93-94 has a s-pipe with the kit to fit the single cat. I have a dual cat headers with the dual cats so I ASSume that it will just bolt right on and only needs the hangers. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

The Loudmouth was really designed for LS1 applications, but fits dual cat cars fine. The S-pipe is to fit the exhaust onto the differently spaced single cat setup...is you have the dual cat headers and Y-pipe, you should be fine without the S-pipe.

Why did you chose to go with the dual cat header setup, the headers are basically a compromise to keep dual cat cars emissions legal, and aren't as efficient as the single cat designs...?

not true, the headers are not that efficient; its the dual cats that are more efficient (UH-OH, I feel a debate brewing) in 1995 when they introduced dual catylitics on camaros the horsepower increased to 285 and no other changes were done; leading to believe that the 2 are better then one theory. I debated it myself until I did some research, remember its the design of the headers for dual cat cars that compromises power not the cats.

well, your right to a certain extent...the dual cat Y-pipe is more efficient than the single cat Y-pipe (how much is HEAVILY debatable), but you lose far more than the Y-pipe is going to give you from the design of the dual cat headers...and aftermarket Y-pipes that come with single cat headers are most likely going to be more efficient than either type of stock Y-pipe, largely due to the increased size (I believe stock Y-pipes are 2 1/4, aftermarket are almost all 2 1/2) and the mandrel bends.
