loudmouth or flowmaster

Loudmouth will probably flow a bit better, but you won't get the great tone of a Flowmaster. Everyone says Flowmaster sounds like crap, but I still can't understand why. With my cats off, and a Flowmaster 80's series, I love the way it sounds. I have heard Loudmouth was very raspy and annoyingly loud.

Neither..
I realy like my Borla setup.. have a McCord power plate so I can turn it up or down.. I know they are pricey though.
Used to have an SLP two-on-the-left, but I like the look of four pipes.. plus it sounds better (and louder) than that setup.. can't speak for the loudmouth though.

well, I have a flowmaster muffler. I dont know how much if a difference that would be from a full cat-back, but I am gonna ditch it and most likely go with loud mouth. It doesnt have the low restricted-sounding tone that flowmaster has, which is a good thing to me.

heard both, and the borla. LM sounds better by far. TOTL is very very nice as well. I would only go with the SLP products or something very custom well done. Flows sound nice but don't put much flow out overall. Borla is way to quite for me as well as pricey. But the 'intercooled' tips sure look nice (esp. on TAs for some reason). A lot of it is personal preference, but I would never buy flows ever again (esp. after seeing some number differances from people who changed from flows to SLP set ups)...

I used to have a Flowmaster muffler, and I loved the sound of it. I think Flows have a GREAT tone, but it still didn't seem to do much in terms of performance, however, I really didn't have many mods (at the time) either.
However, I still think the Flows have a great tone. I got a ton of compliments on it.
When finally got around to doing all of my mods, I took a gamble on the SLP Loudmouth. I heard a few LS1s with them and thought they sounded pretty nice, and I figured the LT1 would probably sound a little bit deeper than the LS1, but still have that raspy note. But then again, in most circumstances the LT1 sounds deeper than the LS1 anyway.
I'm really happy with the Loudmouth, and it is just that.....LOUD.
Does anyone have clips of a Loudmouth at WOT? I haven't had the opportunity to hear mine outside of the car.

I'd get the Flowmaster catback. It's not too bad on the wallet, I heard the gains are decent, sounds badass, and its the only catback with 3" dual exhaust outlets (that I know of) and personaly I think those look the best on F Bodies.

I never heard the Flowmaster, but I don't need to. I have the Loudmouth and for the price and that sound, you simply can't beat it. Beware, though, it's a LOUD system. So if you use it as a daily driver it could become annoying or even in trouble. Just my 2 cents.

I know you didn't ask about Hooker, but it compares in price to the Flowmaster. I have the Hooker and like it a lot.
Here's a video of my car on the dyno with the Hooker cat-back. Check it out...
