loudest exhaust/93-95&96-97 ???????

what is the loudest stock position exhaust with no cats. I have the flowmaster and it is loud and I have an e-cutout that will be here this week but I was wondering what exhaust is the loudest for when i don't want the loud drone of the cutout. I have a 94 a4 and have hardly any drone compared to the newer models, such as 96,97. Why is the drone louder in the newer ones? Thanks I hope you can answer ALL my questions!!!

Loud doesn't always sound good. I'm loud enough to where I've recieved tickets for noise. Hooker LTs and a Random Tech catback. Much louder than when I had Hooker LTs and a Flowmaster AT.

Any exhaust with a straight through muffler like the Random Tech, Loudmouth GMMG is going to be loud. An open Borla is pretty loud too.

I don't want the straight pipe sound I still like the flowmaster low torquey sound but I just wish it was louder. Does anyone know why the newer LT-1's have so much more interior sound and are lower? I have wondered this for a while and I know for a fact that it's not because they run two pipes back further because I have run two back to the back axle back into one now and it still isn't as loud on the inside. I would like more inside sound oddly, the newer(96,97) sound like the muffler runs up through the trunk and mine is only heard on the inside at the low gears. It's like I hear more of the engine feedback from the front and not the muffler feedback like in the newer ones. Thanks!!!

Look into those Spintech mufflers I was talking about. They also have a "Crossflow" design muffler that will go in the stock exhaust position.
