I recently descoverd that there is loud knocking coming from my engine.
The noise is coming from the driver side, its right under TB, around water pump to about ICM, in that area. The car runs fine and it takes a little while before it comes on. Anyone know what it could be. Thanks guys.

 

Hard to say without hearing it.

 

I bought a stetescope for $3 and could pinpoint allmost any noise. You can hear the alternator, injectors & so on and verify the point of the noise. It sounds like the inside of the part which would tell you if your water pump is going out or you have valve train noise under the valve covers.
