Lost keys.

My 1 1/2 year old son has lost my keys.
They have been lost for a week.
Can I hot rod the car?
I'll switch out the lock cylinder later, but I'm not sure if my 93 Cam can be hotrodded? There's a chip on the key. Anyone?

No clue. You may have to go to the GM dealer and fork out the 38$ for a new key. They should have the info for the key chip stored on a computer somewhere.

yeah that is the best way to do it. Just bring them the title and ID and they can make you a copy from the VIN. Its about $40 and they give you another door key as well. If not then you have to splice into the key harness and use resistors to determine the key's chip resistance. And this is after you have figured out how to turn the ignition on..... Its a major pain in the bootie..

I don't know why I didn't think of that before... this happened to me 3 years ago another car of mine and the dealer, but it took 2 weeks for a new key (LexusSC400). Got my new keys today for $23 bucks and took the cammed cam out for a run today.
