Loss of power.......what happened

Today, I took of the whole intake up to the intake manifold. I cleaned it with throttle body cleaner. I installed everything backtogether exactly how it was before me, and while i was in the driveway testing it out, i found the temperature in the car rising really high to like 240 250, and then i go back up and floor it and it feels like i got 50 horsepower in my engine, i mean it really feels like a lost power. and this just happened after I took off the intake stuff. What could it be? I also washed my engine, do u think I messed up the opti?

Any help would be great.

Thanks

If you took your air intake off, to the intake manifold, and cleaned it, I'd suspect maybe you damaged your MAF.

your opti wont be too badly messed up at all if u were careful about where you let water go while you cleaned it up

Does it idle fine? When you're driving it, does it pop/crack/sputter? Did you take the throttle body off too?
