loss of power, thoughts?

I did the H/C almost 2 months ago, at first the car was real strong. Took it to the track with a bad fuel pump, and ran the 12.6 in my sig. Then I adjusted the valvetrain again, and after maybe a week I noticed it didnt feel as strong. Took it to get dynoed and it only laid down 264/290 . With bolt ons it did 273/304. Mind you dif dyno though.
Besides the dyno and track numbers I ran a few cars on the street before the H/C and got beat, then afterwards I was either keeping up or pulling them. Now they are beating me worse then when I had bolt ons.
I readjusted the valvetrain again, seemed to help a lil, but def not what I had when I first did the H/C.

What can I look into?
The car pulls fine, doesnt hesitate or miss a beat. Plugs look fine, as do the wires. Has a new pump with good pressure.
I have had a feeling that it could be knock/false knock? But I dont know how to tell if thats the case.
Please help.

I have no idea, but it doesn't hurt to double check everything.

Check your exhaust. Might be a melted cat.,or a partition in your muffler folded over. Check your coil. -Tim

There is no cats on the car. longtubes, y-pipe, 18 bullet muffler. No restrictions.
The coil is a possibilty, how to check if that is the problem? There is no arcing, nor does it miss at WOT.

Well I was holding off on the tune due to money. But could that have anything to do with it having power then losing it over the course of a few days? I mean that tune hasnt changed since the H/C install but the car is slower.
Thanks thus far.
