looks like i'm the first person to have a problem with dynatechs lts???

man oh man, i just got my motor back from the machine shop its a 383/d1...etc i got the headers from jegs, started to put them on didnt clear the oil pan (canton ) i cut the oil pan back and rewelded it , so now i have clerance. I have a huge problem though. a really huge problem lets say. # 5, 6,8 cylender sprak plugs wont even go in, so i took the headers off the motor, put plugs and wires on and those cylenders i mentioned above are touching the headers. On the #5 all i can fit is the metal cover which is right on the header tube, on 6 and 8 i got cevlar sleves and #8 the header tube is holding the sleve against the boot , same with 6. I'm guessing the boots will get destroyed soon after i drive this car, the motor is sitll out of the car on the stand. I just dont see how you guys say the clearance of the plugs isnt an issue i tried taking the spark plug out, and those cylenders that i mentioned above the spark plug runs into the header tubes before it comes out, you cant even squeze the wires on the plugs without taking the headers off. this is ****ing bull****, i hate these headers i should of bought Jet hots, i've seen how much more room people have with jethots for plugs.
damn

If they don't fit send them back. I would of never cut my oil pan. If Jegs is anything like summit racing you won't have any problem sending them back. Good luck

ok i get to looking at my buddys headers he has dynatechs as well in his 93 his clearance between the headers and plugs is fine ??? could it be that the 190cc afr heads are cut at a steeper angle that brings my headers in therefore the tubes almost touch the wires or not possible?

have you considered running 2 header gaskets? I have seen them run and hold successfully and it should give you a bit more clearance...just something to try. You will need to get 1 inch header bolts though...
