Looking for some quieter rockers???

I'm about tired of the noisey Comp Pro Mag 1.6rrs.
Anyone have some suggestions for some quieter 1.6 rrs for a daily driver?
Cam is .560 lift .... Part#s would be great too.
I'm thinking maybe the Crane Golds may be a good choice to try.

I went with the steel Promags since it was a daily driver, but now thinking the aluminum rrs would be alot more quiet...and heck, they used aluminum on the LT4s stock so it must be good enough for a dd...

I've ran Comp's Pro Magnums and Crane Gold rockers. The Cranes were quite a bit quieter. Comp also make an Al rocker, but I've yet to hear a review.

Are they really that noisy? Do you have a video of how loud they are? My car is currently at A&S automotive and I had Scott install a set of the Pro Mags with Crane double valve springs. I guess I have this noise to look forward to. Please post if you find a rocker that is quieter.

Well, with the double valve springs they are not as bad. Both my LTx motors had double valve springs on them orginally and they were fairly quiet on the TA, and no louder than the stockers on the truck. I later switched to the beehive springs, changing nothing else and the noise drove me crazy for a while thinking the rockers were not adjusted correctly, after trying different preloads I finally gave up. I later switched to the beehives on the truck, and now they are noisey, not as bad since the motor is not half under the cowl like the TA. I have since read countless other posts about the Comps Promags, and it seemed that most complaining of the noise had the beehives.

I felt the double springs were too much seat pressure for me since I don't rev past 5800 or so. I also had a roller cam get severly worn, a few more k miles and the lobe would have been gone...
I'm thinking since the beehives are lighter, the harmonics must be that much louder with the steel rockers...like thumping a tin can compared to a steel beam so to speak...nothing to prove that, just what I've observed in switching on both my motors.

Try a different valvecover. LT4s got composite to dampen noise. Bet a thick cast aluminum cover would work some too.

If that is not good enough then consider swapping to an aluminum rocker.

I have those rockers on the Gen 1 355 in my other Camaro, and putting a set of cast aluminum covers over them really quieted them down quite a bit. A set of composite or cast aluminum covers would probably quiet them down quite a bit for you too.

Besides what has already been said.

Probe shaft rockers work pretty good for $550 and are quiet, but you'll need new pushrods.

Scorpions are about as quiet as I have found for stud mounted rockers.

Already have LT4 composite covers. Leaning toward the Crane Golds for rockers.

Do Probe shaft rockers require any modifications to install?

Many have told me that any aluminum rocker will be more quiet than the pro-mag. But not as strong.
