Looking for a prices on 383 build

I just started the venture of having at least the machine work done on my block. I would like an idea of what to expect on prices for shortblock clean, machine, balanced and blueprinted with assembly of rotating components, provided that I walk up to a shop with only a stripped LT1 shortblock (nothing more).

If possible could you all give me prices on a budget build, moderate build and a high end build price. What I expect in return is simply what I gave them plus rods, pistons and crank... (i.e. no oil pan, no cam, nothing) Just the rotating assembly installed, balanced and blueprinted.

If you guys need anymore information please let me know. I can get only so specific being that the venture just started, but I will be basically using what they feel is best. Money IS an object in my build.

Thanks

I dont know off hand but i know this comes up a lot!.. try a search. What I do know is a conservative estimate for a 355 is probably up near $1500 and thats reusing the rods and crank with minor block work. So a 383 needs new rods and crank plus extra machining to allow for the rods to clear... another grand at least id bet.

how much power do you want the shortblock to be able to support? you can have a $800 rotating assembly, on up to a $3500 rotating assembly. count on $1000 in machine work.
