Looking for an Old Post.... Help plz
I'm looking for an older post on this board about replacing the halogen bulbes in our headlights. Our lights are so flipping expensive when they go
What the guy did was somehow remove the old bulb from the old light housing (which seems to be glued in). Anyone have any ideas on how to get the old light out or where the old post is? Tried searching for a while

Yes tried the appearance forumn but all i could find were posts on changing the look of the lights or installing brighter lights. So i figured the best place would be this forum since it isnt really (arguably) appearance related
I did finally get the old bulb out about an hour ago. I guess I'll just document what I did here for anyone who wants to save a lot of money
The bulbs cost 6$ and the headlight with bulb replacement costs around 50$ (cdn). So i saved 44$ + tax
To remove the old bulb from the light:
Use a big flat screwdriver at the base of the fixture, It does not unscrew. If your doing it right it should be touching both the plastic and glass. Be very careful not to break the glass! The glue used is kinda gooey, seemed like silicone and it wasn't too snug in there at all! Just keep working around it till it prys off... takes a bit of patience
Once you get the old bulb out put a new halogen 12V low beam bulb in. To seal it I just wrapped it about 15 times in electrical tape
-Woot! no more 50$ light bulbs!
