Looking for a new CAM...

OK, so I have an LT1 Lingenfelter 383, and it uses a 211/219/112 cam. As a crate motor it has been extremily reliable, and produces ~450FWHP. They use this 'conservative' cam to meet CA smog laws, and produce a reliable drivable motor...

I WANT MORE!!!

Any input? It needs to be CA smoggable, but tweaking PCM with a 'smog specific' tune is undesirable. I'd like something less than a CC305 but more in between the 211/219. I'd think being a 383 I'd have a little room to be safe.

And yes, I called Lingenfelter, but they were little if any help. He was basically quoting me stuff out of the Comp Cams catalog. I would have thought that they'd have a list of cams for just this type of questions. Not so.

the XE224/230 on 114 LSA can pass smog or so im told. Thats on a normal LT1 anyway, but wouldnt think a 383 would make that much difference.

imo, spend the money on a custom grind, i think you'd be better off in every aspect including emissions

sidenote, how do you feel about going from that BMW to the F-body? that was a sharp 5-series
