Yeah, that was a bitch. Didn't want to take the manifold off but oh well. seemed to give er a little boost down low but nothing for WOT. Guess a good tune will fix that in time but I want to finish my mods first. I like the sound of the Hotcam. Does anyone have any Dyno results from this mod?

I dynoed 340 to the wheels with just the cam and bolt ons. I added heads to it and have the numbers in my sig. Not a bad cam considering how mild it is, comes in a relatively cheap kit with all you need. LT4 Hotcam, LT4 valvesprings, and 1.6RR's. Usually good for around 30ish to the wheels with a tune. Your gonna wanna do a stall with it to get the most out of it though.

IMO I think the 211 cam is an all around better performer than the hot cam especially on the street. If you want a sleeper the 211 is definately the way to go. Cam specs are 211/219 .533/.560(1.6rr's) on a 112lsa (also considered by some to be a "RV" cam due to the low duration and high lift numbers ).

Your opinion would be correct for an itty bitty cammed car... but does not hold up for those of us who run larger cams. My good running engine has a nasty idle.. no fixin' that, it's the nature of the beat

I'm glad someone commented on that statement.

Thats the cam I ran for 8 years in my 383...Its a great cam for drivability and passed MDs emissions with ease...I ran high 11s with that cam all day and got 24 mpg on the highway...It would be great in a stock displacement motor...
