Exclamation Looking to buy another 95z..

There could be a potential problem. Went to look at it today and ran into the mechanic outside. We started talking and he mentions the oil pump needs replacing? This car only has 84k on it. Carfax, for what its worth, confirms it.. This normal for these cars? my 95 a4, stocker and daily driver, has almost 140k with no problems pressure or noise wise. What do I need to be looking for/at once I drive and have this car looked at? And no, I havent even started this Z yet so I dont know what its pressure is or even how it sounds.

Thanks

All I can say is it's very common on the LT1 oil pumps for the pickup sump to fall off the pump. Some people replace the whole pump, while others will fix it. The symptom of this is oil pressure dropping sharply during hard braking.

I had it happen to my car too at 80,xxx miles.
