lookin for 400+ rwhp
lookin for 400+ rwhp
i am building a stroker and am debating on cams . engine is 3.75 stroke and .060 overbore 388ci . it has 6"rods and 11 to 1 comp. and just got a set of trick flow gen x 195 heads. i have a cc305 cam and 1.6 rockers thinking of trying the cc306 cam.
i have a ported lt4 intake , 42lb. injectors , edelbrock t.b. , steped headers, 373 geared moser 12 bolt . and have a good tuner with a superflo dyno.
i want to make over 400rwhp! but it does need to be streetable but it is not a daily driver.
what are your guys opinions?
thanks
oh ya this is in a 94 camaro z-28

cc306 will get you there, but it sounds like you have a nice motor and it's not a DD so why not go with a bigger cam? There are plenty of places that can spec you out a cam that will work better than an off the shelf grind. If you plan on buying new go custom, but if you can find a cc306 for cheap used it will meet your goals.
send the tfs's heads to Llyod Elliot and have him cut you a cam. You could be over 425rwhp if you want it. It will cost you some coin but you got to pay to play.... So with that said how big of budget do you have? What about your goals for the car?
the cc306 isnt a bad cam, its just old.

If you are going to buy new get a custom, it's the same price and you're getting something specifically for your car, not something that someone looked up in a book and said, "that looks about right".
