Longtubes and transmission clearance

For all of you that have Hooker LT's: can the transmission be taken down to do a clutch w/o having to remove the headers? I sure do hope thats the case....thanks in advance.

all depends on your setup and what y-pipe you have... if memory erves me right, you will need to try and move the headers out of the way(which probably means out or loose enough to move around. I may be wrong but that is what I htink

Well, longtube headers go straight back, but on how the y pipe was done might need to drop that, and proabaly need to take out the O2 sensors sense they face inward.

Your headers won't have anything to do with removing the tranny. However, you will have to remove the y-pipe.
