LongTubes + ORY Vs. Nitrous??

what should it be, im having a very hard time deciding.

I could prolly install headers for around $450,

About $550 for nitrous. I wouldnt run more then a 75hp shot since I need my motor to last.

Anyone, also I am going to be putting a Mccleod single disk in soon along w/ a rebuilt t56. I dont know if that clutch will even hold up to a nitrous shot of 75hp.

Help me.

With the nitrous you're gonna need to change your plugs and if you're wanting to do things safely - a window switch.

Lots of differnt variables in if you want a bolt-on car or a nitrous car that can be faster.

Nitrous done correctly is just as safe as anything else.

Cost could be more with bottle fills but a used kit isn't too expensive. If you're going used get NX, they'll rebuild the solinoids for free.

I would cover the basics and do the exhaust first. Nitrous is a quick way to add power, but it can get costly real quickly, especially if done right... Here is an example of what I spent.

NX GM Dual Shark Nozzle Wet kit 500.00
Gen X2 Upgrade Kit 450.00
Mallory 685 Ignition Box 220.00
NGK TR-6 Plugs 20.00
Custom ashtray switch panel 30.00
Custom bottle mounting bracket 50.00
Custom WOT microswitch bracket 30.00
Misc. hoses, fittings, materials 100.00

I didn't mean having someone else install them, I meant in total for me to install. I don't let anyone touch my car except for rebuild the trans . Which im gona be takeing out and bringing to them anyways.

2000GTP, Damn I didnt know it added up that quick. Thats a whole lot more than I expected. I thought that nitrous would be one of those things which just keeps adding up, and your never really "done" w/ it and before you know it you spent a grand in a half on it.

i understand that, same deal with me but the 300 dollar coated hooker's i bought used(which were a great deal BTW), quickly added up to over a grand just by getting the right things to do the job. check this out...

headers - 300
y-pipe - 150
OVC wires - 100
new plugs - 20
gaskets and bolts - 40
poly motor mounts - 60
O2 simms - 90
O2 extensions - 40
custom tune - 100
LT4 knock module - 20

and then theres other crap that i can even remember. i know it ended up being around 1200 or so, and i welded a bullet onto the end of the y-pipe and called it a day, which was pretty much the least expensive option i had from the y-pipe. just somethign to think about, it adds up really quick no matter what way you go.

I remember paying over 1200 bucks for my header install as well, but that did include a brand new catback and a pair of high flow cats. Its expensive either way.
