longtubes hang low

on drivers side, im assuming its normal i see it on a lot of camaros with longtubes
i replaced my mounts with poly, and trans mount...all my exhaust is mostly tucked higher then my subframes except right under the drivers seat...

yall think i could raise it with washers under the drivers mount, between the k-member and mount and block and mount? any better ideas? i really just dont wanna ding up my headers a lot, its not terrible but it does ride close to the ground and id just like both sides to be even

Wouldn't worry about it, dunno why one side is lower than the other though...

Mine are pretty even, as are almost everyone else I would assume.

Look under the car, the drivers side is lower because it has to clear a floor brace.

(Most likely)

Mine wound up with the driver's side lower, too, due to abovementioned floor brace.

PaceSetter LT's and Y-Pipe, 3" I-Pipe back to a flowmaster 80 series with the inlet opened up to 3". I have a SLP Dual/Dual rear section sitting in my garage waiting to go on the car.

Thanks. That's the best looking side of my car, but unfortunately only the occasional slow pedestrian ever even gets to appreciate the view.

Mine are Pacesetters, too, BTW.

I'm just glad I had that intake leak for so long, it kept mine from rusting. Unfortunately it couldnt save my collectors, they're bare steel nowadays.

Hey I noticed you have some kind of sealer where the collector and y-pipe meet. Mine is leaking from there and I was wondering what you were using?

Now that I think of it my Hookers with Mufflex ORY do hand lower on the drivers side. It's cause the Y isnt notched.

It's some type of "weld putty" but it doesn't work that great, I am going to put band clamps there when I get some extra money.

The raised portion of the cross brace which makes contact with the y-pipe can be ground down so you don't have to notch anything. It's real easy to do with a good grinder and takes seconds. That way you even have good clearance so the exhaust won't smack up against the chassis when torque is applied.
