Longtube Header Install

HOW IN THE HELL DO I GET THESE LONG BASTARDS IN THERE. DOES THE CAR HAVE TO BE ON A LIFT . DOES THE OIL FILTER HAVE TO BE REMOVED. I got the front jacked up.Can't get them in ,and I'm not tryin to jack the motor up. I heard some people were able to get them in the top on one side. Any remarks on how you got yours in would help.

Get the car 36" in the air. Thats measured from the bottom of the rocker panel to the floor behind the front tires. Thats what I did and they go straight up in there with a lot of wiggling.

Tubular K-member!! Install one!
Just kiddin man, but you may need to jack up the engine. FWIW, I actually had to for my BBK shorty headers on my 95. It's a PITA but not entirely difficult. Make sure you only jack up one side at a time before re-securing to the motor mount. Hope this helps.

look on my website, you have to get the car HIGH up in the air for that passenger side to go in without unbolting the motor....

I wish the only problem while installing my AS&Ms was the oil filter....
