Longtube Header Gasket for Ported Heads?

Hello All,

I have a '95 Formula with Lloyd Elliott heads and Jet Hot Longtubes. I am looking for input as to what is the best header gasket that will work with this set up.

Forgive my ignorance but it seems that a lot of header gaskets I come across for LT1s do not accommodate larger and ported exhaust ports on the heads outside the ones that initially came with the headers. I would hate to use a gasket that would restrict the exhaust due to small exhaust port holes. Thanks

I have jet -hot LT headers and used Mr. Gasket UltraSeal #5965 gaskets. They had a slightly smaller opening than they headers but had so much material I could match them pretty easily with an Exacto knife.

I'm not certain if you can find a gasket that exactly matches the headers..I've only used a few different ones over the years and they are were close but not exact.

I run the Felpro 1406 which has the large d-port design. They should work for you.

Stay away from earls or percys. I have had no luck with them and either has my buddies. Sometimes the simple cheap solution works like the 1406 fel pros. They work great and are very cheap.

I ran those for the last 6 years, took them off last week, still in great condition.
