Long tubes vs Mid lenths

How much of a power difference is there between long tubes, such as hooker LTs and mid lenths like AS&M. i can't really decide if the price difference is worth it.

thanks D

Well, rumor has it that the Hookers make more power than the Az's, but the AZ's are emissions legal, and the craftmanship is worth the price too. They're a chunk of change, but I think they're worth it.

Was in same boat your are. I went with jethot LTs because they were about the same price once I bought a y-pipe for them and plug access is suppose to be better.

if i had it to do over again,
assuming i didn't do the 383, id do the AS&M.
quieter and probobly more power on a smaller engine/cam-
thats debatable though

I did basically what PoorMan said myself last Friday, love the JetHots I'm emmission legal, and for $513.00 you can't beat it. Midlengths are only good for about 12 -15 rwhp compared to 16-20 rwhp with LT's. Oh by the way PoorMan I used to live in Minden right over by Shreveport years ago, nice area up there.

I think they're both worth a little more than that on the LT1. I picked up .5 and 4 mph in the 1/4 with headers and a cat back.

yes, with a 2 inch drop and LT's you will definitely have clearance issues.
