Long Tubes Q???

Im planning on doing the Jet Hot Long Tubes. Anybody have any problems with these headers? From what I have read they seem to be a good buy?

Since I have OBD2 do I need o2 simms? If so how many?
Do I need AIR and EGR fittings?

I do plan on gettting the computer tuned, can they remove all these options so I dont have to pay extra to get them added onto the headers?

Also I need a Ypipe? Anybody recommend one to go with the Jethots?

thanks for the help!

Re: Long Tubes Q???

jet hots are a very good buy. They are the same as the Hooker LT's with a better ceramic coating and lower price.

You will need two o2 sims

You only need air and egr if you have emmisions laws. If not get rid of all that crap. Be sure to put block off plates for the egr on the back of the intake.

if you only have LT's, why would you get a tune? I would wait for a cam install.

you can have a local exhaust shop make you a y-pipe or you can buy a jet hot. Probably cheaper to have it done locally but you won't have that famous jet hot coating on it.

Re: Long Tubes Q???

I had no trouble installing mine. Did it by myself in about 12 hours. I didnt even have to unbolt the engine mounts. Took about 10 seconds to slide each header in each side. K member was about 22 inches off of the ground. I got a tune with mine since i had a speed limiter, different tires, and a few other mods.

You will need over the valve cover wires or something of the sort since the LTs will burn wires in the stock location. I removed my AIR and EGR and blocked them off. You will need them to pass most state inspections though. You can get the LTs with the hook ups for them.

Pics of them installed are in my sig and on the same website there is a link to pics of when i was installing them.
