long tubes

long tubes

i am going from a stock exhaust set up to long tubes, y-pipe and no cats, should i get my computer retuned, buy a chip, or do nothing?

Its always a good idea to have it tuned...Bryan at PCMforless did mine. Your A/F ratio may change with the headers and a tune will help you out. Plus, theres usually a gain anyway from just a tune...People on this board also use Madz28.com, too...

Yes, I would get the computer tuned to squeeze out a little more power. Also, since you are not running cats, are you running 02 simulators for your rear 02 sensors. If not, then you will also want the SES codes tuned out of your PCM so you dont get a check engine light. Also, if you are running race style long tubes without AIR or EGR, you will need to have those codes tuned out of your PCM as well in order to avoid an SES light.
