Long tubes

I was considering going with long tubes, the pacesetters, with all the emission hookups, and was wondering if I make a y-pipe with 2 cats in it, will it still pass visual inspection? Its a 96, so have to keep 2 cats.

No. Get headers without emissions.

Re: Long tubes

depends how stupid/**** the inspector is...but chances are not good.

ANY movement of the cats from stock location is technically illegal.

Re: Long tubes

you'll fail b/c the cats need to be in the stock location.

Re: Long tubes

I noticed you said your car is a 96 which is OBD II, I have a 97 SS and just went thru emmissions and all they did was scan the pcm for codes, they didn't look under the hood or car no tailpipe sniff or anything.
I live in Maryland so I'm not sure how they do it in Ohio.
