long tube install

long tube install

i put the pacesetters on yesterday and now obviously my check engine light came on due to blockage of the egr but when the service engine soon light comes on so do the fans. why?

The fans always come on with any SES that is set.

Just get the EGR tuned out and you will be good to go.

Because some codes are temperature related - bad temp sensor reading. The fans cut on as a default to keep the engine cool.

My fan never comes on and the SES light is always on for the EGR code.

Not all codes turn on the fans.

OPies57:

Did you scan it to verify the actual code? What is the year of your car? That determines to some extent what code you get with the header install. Might be a good idea to add a "signature" with basic info about your car - year, model, tranny, major mods, etc. You will get more accurate answers that way.
