Yes, but the headers might get in the way when you tourque down the outside bolts.

why not do it from the bottom and save yourself the trouble from taking the heads off

It will make it a little easier to get the headers in with the heads off, but as mentioned, it may then make it harder to get the heads back on. I would just tough it out and install them with the heads on.

Just take covers off, it'll give you just enough to slip it through.

Uh huh, valve covers off helps a lot.
It would be rediculas to pull the heads, damn that would be a lot of work for a header install plus those outside 7 bolts would be super hard to reach.

Lift it off the motor mounts and you should be fine. I didnt take the valve covers off and the Passenger side went in from the bottom and the driver side FELL in through the top. Oh, don't forget the steering shaft on the driver side.

are you pulling the whole motor out? if the motor is already out, lay the headers in the engine compartment and then slowly lower the motor into place without smashing the headers. after you have the motor bolted up, your headers will be laying right there waiting for you to bolt them up.

if the motor is already in, then you should be able to get them in there still without taking the heads or valve covers off. like i said I did mine like that and the driver side literally dropped into place while the passenger side needed a little work but it went in also.

I would just put the heads/cam in and then follow up with the headers. Just having the valve covers off will help a great deal.
