Long Tube headers OR Shorties

In your guys' opinion, what is better for the LT1? I am about to place an order and I'm not sure which I should get. Which is better? Which will I get more horsepower and torque with? Thanks....

If you have an aftermarket cam w/ more lift you have to go LT no question.

I've heard that the longtube headers advantage comes in high rpm's and in low and middle range rpm's there is not a big difference between shorty or longtube.
Correct me if I'm wrong...
-e- this was just a thought, half time comment ...

Longtubes, non emission type, if you can. Forget shorties, make believe they don't exist.

If money isn't an issue, get Kooks. Try one of the sponsoring vendors for the best price. I got mine from MarylandSpeed.

I belive this is true as well. At low RPM the speed of exhaust being pushed out is obviously not as high as higher RPM's, thus the exhaust can be more restrictive down low and not dampen power output.

Then again when your racing when are you at low RPM's? Maby the first 2 seconds of the race longtubes = mids, but after that its all longtubes.
