Tearing it apart now to change springs, rockers, well, everything really. Which loctite is going to be best? high temp?

None. You want to use thread sealant, then torque the studs down to 50# lbs for stock studs (I go to 60# if using ARPs).

Non-ported, I use red Loctite. Stock holes are blind. Ported may require sealant as sometimes the bottom of the stud holes get exposed.

I should also mention that the FSM states to use thread sealant on stock heads.

Though it does, mine came from the factory with what appeared to be a thread locker.

Just took my stock studs out and there's no sealant on them, but there is red loctite holding the heli coil's in. My GM manual also says to put sealant on them but they are blind so i don't see why...
