Locked up motor, Plans to get it going again
Alright about a month ago I blew the head gaskets and locked up the motor. I plan to rebuild it or do whatever it takes to get it running again. What do I need. This was a custom built 383 LT1 Stroker by a guy in upstate NY. Is there a kit I have to get. Also if a motor is locked up does that mean its wont run ever again? And what parts break when it locks up?
Any info is greatly appreciated..
Thanks

Depends, you really wont know till you tear it apart. You could have badly scored crank. Bearings could be chewed. Rod bearings may be bad. How bad was the gasket blown and how soon did you get to it?You may be able to polish the crank, who knows .
