lock tight on rockers?

Everytime i open up the car, afterwards at least one rocker comes loose. They are comp 1.6rr's and I have tightened them down 1/4 past zero lash with the engine off method. I have also made sure the little nuts inside are tighened down very well, but still one always comes loose. Can i use lock tight on them? I was thinking about tightening them down 1/2 a turn instead.

do not use lock tight.....

The wya I do them is say you want a 1/4 lash......tighten the set screw when you get to 1/16 then tighten the whole thing down anoth 1/16.....it will lock it down good

Switch to ARP studs. Do the normal routine for adjusting the lash and then tighten the lock screw. It may work to tighten the adjusting screw and the lock screw at the same time, however I don't believe that is how you are supposed to to do it. The reason your adjusting nut is coming loose is most likely do to poor top threads on the studs. JMHO
