Lloyd Elliott Heads Cam packages
Lloyd Elliott Heads Cam packages
I am sure this has been beat to death but last week I ordered the LE2 package from Lloyd Elliott for my 96 Impala SS 355ci. For the guys who have this package what kind of track times are you getting? I really don't care about dyno numbers I want real track gains. Lloyd is telling me that with this setup I can expect 1.6 60ft times consistantly. And this is in a 4400 lb boat. So tell my your track results with this setup. Can I see any gains over what I currently run?(see sig) I wanted the LE3 package but he talked me out of it due to the weight of the car. He sayes the LE2 cam has a broader torque band which is what is needed to get this pig off the line. That is what sold me to Lloyd. He is not out for the fast buck but wants to give you the right setup for your application. Great Guy!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Lloyd Elliott Heads Cam packages
While I cant speak for the LE2 setup directly, I'm running his LE2 heads with a cam similar to the cc306. I don't know the size of the cam he uses, but if it is bigger it can't be that much. My car weighs in at 4100lbs. and i'm trapping 114mph, that should be good for a high-11 low-12. Since your not that much heavier, I would expect an easy low-12 if you can hook. Hope this info is somewhat useful to ya'.
Re: Lloyd Elliott Heads Cam packages
This may not be an option but i believe that a stroker bottom end would be perfect in your car. If you decide to go that route then do it soon and let lloyd know because he has different cams for strokers.

I think that if joe can do it with a hot cam and LT4 heads, then you could do it with the LE2 setup which i know has better flowing heads and a larger cam. Stroker bottom end could put you in the 11's with the right stall and rear gear setup.
