Lloyd Elliot H/C package with superhcarger?

Is anyone running one of Lloyd's head and cam packages with a supercharger?

If you are, could you please tell me a little about the combination, and your dyno and or track numbers.

Thanks!

Lloyd's Head/cam packages are ideal for naturally aspirated motors. Your pistons make it possible, though a supercharged motor will run best on cylinder heads with larger combustion chambers to lower the compression further.

Also, while the Lloyd's cams are matched very well with his heads in a naturally aspirate motor, you will want a different cam if you plan to go supercharged.

I am very aware of the fact that Lloyd's LE1, LE2, and LE3 packages are set up for natural aspiration. I've talked to him on the phone, and he said he could have a different cam ground for a supercharged application. Im curious to see if anyone has had one of Lloyd's head and cam packages set up for a supercharger.

I'm not running stock compression on my LT1. I'm at roughly 9.0 to 1 (static) with my pistons. This compression is just fine for 11psi on pump gas. I did tear this engine down a couple months back, and there were ABSOLUTELY NO signs of detonation.

IMO, the cam would have to be specific for each individual blown engine depending on a lot of things like static CR, boost, blower outlet temps, exhaust system, rpm range, etc. If you were to accurately provide all of that info to Lloyd I'm quite sure he could come up with an appropriate cam.

If someone were to use Lloyd's heads on a FI LT1 with an inappropriate cam, what would the results tell you? If power wasn't what you expected would the cam or the heads be blamed? Although I haven't asked Lloyd specifically, my strong feeling is that, as you indicated, he'd want a very specific cam for your setup. I surely would!

I think you would see significant power increases at your boost level with Lloyd's headwork AND the correct cam. The increases might be more than you expected.

Go for it!

To rag on you a little, how come you are hanging around here, Mr. Moderator (#2895)?

Here is a good thread to read.....

Basically YEAH they could work and YEAH he will get you a cam that will match it. Might cost a little more for the cam but you will be pretty well off.

I hear ya' Bret. No doubt, Lloyd could set me up with a great head and cam combo. He's extremely knowledgeable on the subject of cylinder head porting. I know I'd be very pleased with his work, I was just curious as to whether or not someone else has allready gone this route. If so, I was just wondering what sort of dyno and track numbers they saw. I appreciate everyone's replies.
