Lloyd elliot

Hi i have not been to this board in a while but i had a question for you guys. I have a 94 z28 with 114,000 miles. I was wondering about the lloyd elliot heads/cams packages. would i need to buy anything else for my car if i bought this package. Also would the LE1 be alright for a stock motor? One more thing does anyone know where i can get a lt1 rebuild kit to build the car back to stock or a little better? Thanks

Re: Lloyd elliot

You should search for lloyd elliott. I have replied to over 20 posts, and made several huge threads about him where he has replied and such. the LE1 will be fine for a stock stall and rear end, not ideal, but you will need alot of stuff. headers, intake, exhaust, tune, rockers, guideplates, pushrods, lifters, gaskets ($200), might as well do plugs and wires too, 30lb injectors, might as well get new o2s, and thats about it. It totals like 3k at the cheapest. Why would you want to rebuild it back to stock? You could build a nice 383 shortblock for a few hundred more.

Re: Lloyd elliot

it looks pretty cheap at first, but once you start adding it all up....
front end gasket set - 18
timing chain - 90
ARP head bolts - 60
Electric water pump- 160
Comp Pro Mag 1.6 NSA 7/16 rockers - 260
7/16 studs - 29
GM 14011051 guide plates - 16
7.200 5/16 hardened pushrods - 30
Crane or Comp stock replacement lifters - 125
Mr Gasket 5716 head gaskets - 33
30 lb Fuel Injectors - 200
3.73 gears - 300
Mail order tune -138
LE1 + upgrade valves- 1300
Coolant - 23
Oil and filter - 25
Cam lube - 6
Thread locker - 4
Thread sealant - 4
Spray cleaner or solvent for gasket surfaces- 3
shipping - 150

Thats about $2800
Those are all the parts Lloyd recomended. Sure, you could do it cheaper, but with 114k, you don't want to cut any corners.
