Little help with header install...

In the process of installing Jet-Hot LTs. I already removed AIR and EGR and I'm now working on the driver's side header. I'm having the hardest time getting the header in position to bolt it up to the head. Anyone have any tips? The header slipped right in the bottom but its a real PITA to line up, bolt in and slip the gasket in and finish the rest of the bolts. I'm just frustrated after spending nearly 10 hrs on this whole project. If anyone has any tips or tricks, please share.

Also my o2s are rusted on my old manifolds. How can I remove them without damaging them because I dont want to buy new ones.

I used PB Blaster to remove mine. I sprayed them, then tapped them, then sprayed them, then tapped them, then sprayed them, then tapped them--finally I guess the PB Blaster made it's way to the threads and I was able to get them off.

The only other thing I can think of is to heat of the area surrounding the O2's with a torch or something to get the pipe to expand a bit.

Maybe I'll try heating them up tomorrow then. Too sore to continue today plus I have to go to work.

I dont think theres any need to remove the steering knuckle. I dont really want to go through the hassle. Thanks for the replies though.

I used a gasket adheasive the hold the gasket to the header. Some people on this board have had to modify the bolt holes on the flange since they do not line up. You need check the alignment with a hand mirror and flash light.
