Lingenfelter 74211 Camshaft For Daily Use???

hi i have a 94 z28 4auto i´m planing to put the 74211 lingenfelter cam, High Flow Runners or LT1, LT4 Intake Cam # 74211, 211/219 duration @ .050 .530"/.560" with 1.6 rocker, http://www.lingenfelter.com/store/lpe-74211.html, i think this cam is very streetful, i want your opinions, what kind of programation it needs for this cam? and other stuff that i can put for help this cam to makes power? what gear? what throttle body? what injectors? what catback? (i have longtube header and y pipe pace setter), what ever you think that can help?. In the future in thinking to put it a procharger p600b and i think that cam would fit with a superchrger?

Be an decent cam...smaller cams run very well for people...but people tend to get on the bigger is better band wagon.

Good luck.

On stock heads I'd run a smaller cam than that. Do you really want to give up that much in terms of driveability, mpg, and emissions for a mere 10hp? cc503 all the way. Custom cam from Brent Bauer all the way!

Did you mean to say run a bigger one? For the all that work of changing a cam I would put something a little bigger in there. Seems like such a waste of time for something that small IMO

I ran this cam for years, however I ran it w/ LPE's LT4 heads (see sig for mods/ET's).
With my setup it behaved as though it was stock. There was a very slight lope, but you'd have to really listen for it. My car was a complete sleeper.
I'm not sure how much power gain you'd get out of this cam w/ stock heads. Probably about as much as a LT4 or 305 and would be able to pull a stump out of the ground at 1200rpm.
On your stock heads you might be able to get away w/ 4.10's. I couldn't since I was running past my power peak trapping around 114mph and the power peak was right around 5900rpm. I went w/ 3.73's and gained 1mph through the traps and knocked almost 2/10's off my best ET. As far as tune goes you can run it w/out a tune if need be. I'd get it tuned anyway. Don't know how it would behave in a FI combo.
I've never known anyone or have seen any performance results from using this cam on stock heads. Most everyone here has gone w/ the "flavor of the month" like the LT4 or 305. I say go for it. Dare to be different!

I have the Crane 104227 (210/224 @ 0.050 511/553 w/ 1.6) with stock heads
and it's perfect for a daily driver. Lots of torque with stock manners and about 25
more rwhp than stock. I'm also running stock exhaust manifolds so
there is probably another 10-20 rwhp in there with headers. Throw a set of
ported heads on and you are in the 350 rwhp range with a totally stock
sounding car.

If you like the idea of a stock idle then the LPE cam should be perfect. If you
want that cammed sound (which most want) you will be better of with a
hotcam or equivalent. I've been there and done that with the big cams so the
stock sound was priority one for me. If you are curious what it will sound like
check the idle vid in my sig. I would think the LPE cam will have a similar idle.

It's actually a bit smoother than that.

Having gone for a ride in SS RRR's Camaro. It is a total sleeper cam but it certainly worked his application. I really liked the way it worked in his car.

I ran that cam for 9 years in my LPE 383...It went high 11s/low 12s got 24 mpg highway and idled like a stocker with a hint of a cam...It works very well for a small cam...I'm partial to small cams anyway as my numbers in my sig were run with a 226/234 N/A...
