Trying to figure out quench distance. Target: .040"-.038"
stroke 3.8", rod length 5.7", piston CH/pin height 1.430"
half the stroke, rod length and pin height gave me 9.030". Stock deck height is 9.025. My block has never been decked.

I'm thinking I have a positive deck of .005". With a .005 deck cut, that would give me a .010 positive deck. I want to run .050" copper head gaskets, which should put me back to .040" quench.

Did I mess something up? I had this brainfart all day and dont feel like messing this up, haha! Not sure if it's a positive or negative deck for some reason. thanks!
