Below is a rundown of last years shootout at the Factory Apearing Drags. All cars run through manifolds, 2 1/2" pipes and BIAS PLY TIRES. Almost everyone of them weighs more than our cars as well.

Hey, anyone who wants to run a big heads/cam setup and keep the factory manifolds more power too them, what do I care. I was just stating in my first reply it doesnt make much sense, to me at least. Didn't mean to offend anyone.
Re: Limits of stock exhaust manifolds
My main goal out of all this is to have a car with a/c and leather that goes as fast or faster than my truck.(mid elevens) Just looking at weight I'm puting about 500hp down to the tires, probally more due to the Horrible aero & stock suspention. 504 corrected on the engine dyno, plus a 200 shot. From what I've seen I think I can get away with less and still run the number in a well sorted out car. lol Rather than beat this thread into the ground does anyone have any RWHP recomendations to run mid elevens at 115-118 ish.

the manifolds are choking the **** out of my poor car, but I need to buy a beater.
Re: Limits of stock exhaust manifolds
There was a guy who posted on http://www.Projecttransam.com who had done quite a few mods and was using ported stock exhaust manifolds and making pretty good power--much more than you would expect. I don't remember the exact number, but it was enough that I did a double take and re-read the sig. Don't remember his name. Maybe you can post the same question over there and he will respond.
Edit: TransAmman97 over at Projecttransam.com
