I have not gone that far.If the plug won't clear the piston,just throw them away.

well exactly what is the stock distance between the plug and piston, obviously you can go close to that, but angle milled properly will lay the plug more parallel to the piston, angle milling is usually more productive for cutting cc than flat milling, the disavantage is you must resquare the head bolt faces and possibly add spacers, depends how much you want to drop one side.

So how much in decimals can you mill max? I came across this post in a search but you're talking in cc's.
I have my engine out and believe I have a blown head gasket which probably means warped head. My HAYNES says .010 max cut. Is this accurate? I will be removing them friday and taking them to the machine shop to have them checked but need to know the max cut for real.

I've found the limit to how much you can mill them is till you cut into the top cut on the valve job.
I've had LT heads milled to take 7-8cc out of them so it shouldn't be much of a issue to angle mill them to under 50cc if they are stock.
