hey guys,i should prob post this in the electronics thread,but it prob wouldnt get read as much. I recently had an alarm installed on a 94 z28,(clifford matrix 2.5). They wired/grounded, "not sure" the alarm to a wire running in the trunk,drivers side in the panel with the wires to the little factory sub. I was wondering if anyone knew exactly what all the wires running back there are for because ever since the alarm, my passenger turn signals dont work, and now that side break light is out. I dont know what they tapped into, but a friend looked at the wires back there and said it was wrong. Any info would be a great help. " i dont expect many replys"

 

They probably went to the back to get at the hatch switch. But they should have gone to the dome light so they could have gotten all the door switches at one point.

We know its not a short since one side works and the other does not therefore the fuse is good. There could be an open.

If you can give us the colors, we may be able to tell you what the wires are for. You could also remove the connections they made and see if the lights function again. My suggestion is take it back to them and have them fix it since they F@#$%^ it up.

Let's see what the function of the wires are that they connected to, so you will know what they did before you take it back. Tell us the color of the alarm wires also.

 

Thanks for replying man. Id get the colors of the wires,but i think i know why they f**ked up. I had them set up the trunk release, so ure right, thatz the wire they hooked up to. Its gotta be grounding the lights out or somthing. If there was another way,i wish they wouldhave taken it. The car is going in tom so they fix what they f**ked up. Im going to explain that whatever it was they hooked up back there.( obviously the trunk release) grounded out my lights. I have a feeling they wont know what else to do but say then u wont have a trunk release. Im gonna be lit. Thanx again for the info man.
