lifters? need help a.s.a.p

lifters? need help a.s.a.p

after doin my cam swap last weekend and gettin the right guide plates in ,i go to adj my rockers all but 2 on my #3 cyl wont adj the rockers bottom out on the stud .allothers adj great but these 2 they sat for 1 week without oil in the motor without tension .i checked all else springs are fine p/r,s are right lenght all else is ok is it poss that the lifter is stuck collapsed before i pull the intake ....oh and they are stockers wit 60 k on them

Sorry, out for the day. Are you sure they just are not collapsing too easy? They have a little spring in them that will stop them from collapsing even without oil in them. Hate to make you seem stupid but I have to ask a few dumb questions. Do you have the set screws turned too far in and that's what's stopping the nut? Are you sure the pushrod is on the lifters? Will they adjust without the guide plate? I wondering if you have the right size pushrod and that plus the guideplate is making it drop too far? I mean this would be really strange because like I stated, there are springs in them.
