Is there an advantage to using LS7 lifters over the stock ones? Do you have to modify anything to use them?

You can read a lot of stuff on the LS7 lifter and why people use them. I just thought if they are used in the LS7, they should be good for my LT1.

Need to double check your pushrod length. Cup is a little different than stock. I think shallower.

Further, they are just as cheap as any other lifters out there.

The LS7's are a better design than the stockers that came in the LT1 engine. They will drop right in without any modification. It is always a good idea to check for correct pushrod length though. With my recent cam swap, stock length PR's worked perfect and I also used the LS7 lifters.

As far as I know, the stock LT1 lifters are not even available anymore. The replacement GM part number for the LT1 engine is now the LS7 lifter.
