I just installed new ls7 lifters, when i rotated the pulley to set the lash/preload the centers of the lifters push down, is this normal?
This is on a fresh H&C not fired yet, i soaked them in oil overnight also

 

Yes...it is not a solid lifter,,, when the car is running, oil pressure keeps the lifter from compressing.

 

I was thinking that, had me worried but it all makes sense
