Well, last weekend marked a momentous occasion, the TA received its cam install. Everything went extremely well and I'm very pleased with the entire set-up. The cam sounds amazing, it drives extremely well and runs very strong. The car is my DD hence why I decided to go with the CC503. Some will say that I went too low with the stall (it's a 3k but it flashes to 3200) but I beg to differ as the car runs and performs great. To each their own anyhow. This is the first car I have driven/owned with a cam or stall so it was pretty intimidating at first but everything worked out great. For the curious, the converter was installed back in March while the cam went in last weekend.

Kool job. Hope you replaced the rest of the freeze plugs while you were at it. I have yet to do a job that I haven't spilled a little blood on

 

What do you have your idle set to? Sounds good

 

I'm doing the CC503 install too. I hope to have mine up and going soon. Waiting on parts. Dang GM....back ordered stuff....valvecovers, heater hoses, and even Mac has my headers back ordered.....sheesh.

That sucks, I slowly pieced this thing together over a period of about a year. Converter here, springs there, rockers here, gasket set there etc.... Don't get discouraged, you won't be disappointed
