let's see some pics of painted intakes

gonna paint my intake tomorrow and i need some ideas. im thinking of painting the block black and the intake as well. then polish the fuel rails and the fins on the intake as well. i wanted to paint the intake red to match the color of the car, but everyone has the red intake already and it seems to be a little too common for my tastes. so give me a few ideas guys, and im sure that others want to see some pics too.

My LT4 intake is black. Doesnt look special.

Maybe red is used often because its looks good

^ He may be onto something

Intake a semi-gloss black. Polished rails, Let the fins alone though. I think the stock color/texture to the fins looks nice. This is likely how I will do mine as soon as I ge tnew cores to send out to LE.

Metallic Pontiac bably blue, fuel rails and the 'lines' on top of the intake are highly polished.

I had mine painted black but i didn't like it so i went red one of the many times my motor was apart.

Home Depot

Fernco 3"x3" (part # 1056-33) sewer pipe connector. $6 including the two stainless clamps. Just think what SLP would charge you for it........
