Let that be a lesson to me...
For the past couple days I have been trying to chase down why my car was getting hot and the fans were not coming on (only to find out the come on at 226). I have chsed down so many electrical lines, checked voltage relays and fuses, replaced sensors and thermostat. I even chenced temp sensor to the dual one with fan and guage combined which ment new connector too. All in vane effort to find out is was the damn radiator cap. Took it to parts store today and it wouldnt hold crap for pressure. I always tell other people to start with the easy stuff and would up BUT do I do that?? NOOOOO.... Lesson learn, practice what you preach.
Engine coolant temp sensor..........$8.99
Thermostat and seal...................$7.50
Combo sensor and guage.............$14.99
Connector for sensor/guage.........$26.00
Finding out its just your radiator cap......$3.49 and a kick in the ***
Somethings money can buy, for everything else there is a size 11
Now I just have to get the air out of system and find out hot to put in a manual fan control. I dont like the idea of fans not kicking in til 226deg.
