Left 02 Lean and BLM of 160 all the time

I'm trying to pass somg in CA and I had the SES light come on at idle after about 10 minutes of idle. The code was 44 which was lean on the left bank. I checked and found a loose header bolt and tightened it and the light still came one. Then I checked the BLMs and they are at 160 constantly no matter what the throttle is at. I also have just reprogramed the car so that I can pass smog with a cc305 cam, the tunning was done by PCMforless.

Did you check your fuel pressure? Get a cheap guage and hook it up to the schrader valve...

Do you have a ported MAF?

Also make sure all the header bolts are indeed tight... Also how about the ports on the back of the intake? Do you have them blocked off? Your getting some kind of air leak SOMEWHERE after the MAF. Its either in the intake elbow, intake manifold, header gaskets, or the collector gaskets, if your running headers

Are the BLM's for both the left and right banks of the engine max'd out at 160? If not, what are the BLM's on the right side? That will determine whether you have a problem that is only affecting the left side (exhaust leak, misfires, faulty sensor), or whether you have something that is affecting both sides (fuel pressure, MAF sensor, etc.).

What about those Smog Air check valves conected to the Exhaust manifold? Just a thought but why dont you Cap them both momentarily (3/4 inch outer diameter on my 95Z28) and see if it has any effect on your readings. At least you would rule them out as a leak.

I am assuming you have split BLMs that is. Is it just one bank messed up? I am curios.

I don't have slipt BLMs it is 128 at idle until the light comes on with that code.

I just replaced the left 02 with a brand new one and I still have the same problem, the reading on this 02 seems extremly low, almost like I wireing problem so I'm going to look in to that. Any clues on how to test those wires?

I'm confused.... is the left side BLM at 160 at all throttle positions (including idle), or is it 128?

I used to have that problem. The Intake elbow was torn in one place on the side, and on the very bottom it was folded up. So air was getting in in two places. You have to be very careful when putting back on the elbow, so the bottom rubber piece doesnt fold up....

You need to "export as .csv" so people without DataMaster can open the files.
