leaky valve covers, which gaskets?
right now i have cork gaskets that i made, they have worked in the past but now they are leaking like a siv! i have polished valve covers on the car and the stock replacement gaskets dont fit. which gaskets should i be using?
I don't see why you cant find gaskets that fit, replacements SHOULD work, but I don't know what kinda valve covers you got. Anyways, as the other members say, If you can't find them just use Silicon, just make sure you do a good job and it will be a nice secure seal.
good luck

Cork gaskets are absolutely useless because they harden and have little compression. The neoprene (blue) gaskets are pretty flexible, dude. Leave them out in the sun for a few minutes and try again. Another possible solution would be to use some blue ones but cut them in the middle and patch them together with silicone. You want that compression, my friend.
