Leaking gas cap?

I heard a new fuel saving tip and was wondering if it really matters or not. I heard that if you have a leaking gas cap, you will lose fuel by evaporation. I have a full tuneup and don't get very good gas mileage, is it possible that my gas cap is leaking and how do i tell if it is?

it evaporates and I don't think it would effect you gas mileage that much unless you were in a very hot climate. mainly just a emission concern, you will fail if it is leaking. they are cheap get a new one

You will get a SES light if its leaking. Test it by leaving it loose to make sure.
