Accusump

BTW, the accusump is a canton 3 quart model. I just kept the mechanical valve, and mounted it in the car, right behind the parking brake. I valve it on before I start the car, this pre-lubes the engine, and valve it off before I switch off the car. It is connected to 10 an lines to a T before my oil cooler which is an air-to air in front of the radiator.

This year I had some cooling problems, and I have decided that having the oil cooler in front of the rad is not a good idea. Also I will go with a bigger rad next year. I also had a 'neat' experience when the car cut off going down the backstraight at road atlanta. It turned out that the rotor came loose on the opti.

The problem with tracking a car like this, is that you can drive it on the street forever with no problems, but when you hit the track the problems surface. You can't drive a car hard enough on the street to experience them. This makes for a long 'sorting out process' Tim

The factory unit is just pressed together and plastic bosses hold the conductor to the rotor.

The Moroso rotor is screwed together with machine screws. I bought a new opti and immediately replaced the cap and rotor with the Moroso unit. I took apart the whole thing and put it back together with loctite.
