You'll get nutswingers on both sides of the camp. You can't go wrong with either one of them, call both up and see who you like the best and compare prices and go from there.

Unless there is a LE3 head/cam stroker f-body car out there running 9.97 @ 138+ N/A and at 3470 pounds raceweight, the answer is fairly clear.

Yeah because everyone builds their cars as a full out solid roller race car.

I can see it being a racecar and I could see it as a street car. I saw Ricks car run 10.0's as a small 383 (compared to a 396) back seats, and big ugly long mufflers kind of street car. Now I also saw the same car have a solid cam, no heat, and individual egt sensors in the primarys. The car ran good, but I bet the LE3 can do the same.

I've looked into both and it looks like AI has better #'s et, and hp. But thats just my opinion.

Lloyd has AWESOME customer service...that is worth a big amount of money to me......he took care of me when I had a few questions etc. I will do biz with him again.

You learn as you get older to stay with the people that treat you right, not saying that AI has any customer service problems, I have no idea.

But I HAVE seen people buy the best "deal" and get left pissing up a rope when they need help.

If there aren't any to compare it to you can't compare a street car to a full out race car....

I'm going to pretend that you ignored the fact that the OP never qualified the question the way you are.

someone just needs to do an engine dyno test of each package in a controlled environment to settle all this...

I personally would go with lloyd becuase I have bought from him before and his service was excellent. he always went out of his way to answer my questions and help me out even a year after I purchased the combo from him. I also know that lloyd is always getting better. he told me that the heads he did for me (in fall of 2004) are about 20-30 hp behind what he puts out now.

Now, Im not saying Ai's service or quality is worse than lloyd's, I really dont have a clue so I can't comment.

look at lloyd's trans am for what can be done with a relatively simple build on a street car. he even bought a set of his own heads back instead of porting a set for himself!

Thats the problem with the LT1 community, no one wants to believe there is more than 1 way to get the same results, everyone acts like its either AI or LE and then they have to take sides in whos better. There's never going to be a controlled test, so get over that, and there is no need for it. AI, LE, TEA, Port pros, ETP, ect all port LT1 heads, and theres alot more choices out there and I wouldn't hesitate to put any of them on my car.

False. That would only create more controversy and problems.

LPE needs an honarable mention.
You ever get your chit figured out? I see snazzy dyno numbers but no new ET's...
